OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College women's soccer team put on a goal-scoring clinic as the Cavaliers beat Southeast Community College 18-0 to stay undefeated on the season.
JCCC put its roster on full display, as 13 different players scored at least one goal, with five players finding the net twice. Players such as freshman midfielder Ally Hatch and freshman defender Libby Cramer scored their first goals of their college careers. Hatch also recorded her first two career assists.
Sophomore midfielder Brecken Hoy started the scoring in the sixth minute. She would add another goal later and provide the assist on six goals, tying for the single-match record in program history.
Sophomore midfielder Tatum Bresette also lit up the stat sheet finishing with two goals and four assists. Her four assists tie for sixth in a match at JCCC.
Other key performances were turned in sophomore midfielder Jill Lenherr (2 goals, 1 assist), sophomore midfielder Lily Marshall (2 goals, 1 assist), freshman midfielder Jade Smallwood (2 goals), freshman forward Ella Hammonds (1 goal, 1 assist), freshman defender Leonie Widmann (1 goal, 1 assist), sophomore defender Ashley Chaput (1 goal), sophomore forward Samantha Pond (1 goal), freshman defender Sophia Rine (1 goal), freshman defender Madson Smith (1 goal) and Macy Sarro (1 assist).
Sophomore Lena-Marie Winkler earned the shutout, her second of the season.
Johnson County will close out the regular season Wednesday, October 22 at Kansas City Kansas Community College.
