JCCC women’s soccer team rallies for a 4-3 victory

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County women's soccer team completed the largest come-from-behind victory in team history, rallying from a 3-nil deficit for a 4-3 win over Coffeyville Wednesday evening.

The Lady Cavaliers tallied all four goals in the second half, the last three in the final nine minutes of the contest. 

Riley Porter got Johnson County on the board in the 52nd minute with her fourth goal of the season. Kayla Ambrose provided the assist. Porter struck again in the 81st minute of an assist from Samantha Grynkiewicz

Two minutes later Lexi Dillon fed Claire Middleton for her first score of the season, pulling JCCC even with the Ravens. 

In 85th minute, Middleton picked up her first assist of the year, feeding Monique Fair for what proved to be the game winner. It was Fair's first score of the season. 

Goalkeeper Kayla McIntyre earned her first victory of the season, relieving Olivia Ways in net late in the first half. She saved both shots she faced. 

The Lady Cavaliers travel across town to take on Kansas City Kansas on Monday, October 11.
