Women’s soccer lands four on all-conference first-team

OVERLNAD PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced the 2020-21 women's soccer all-conference performers today, and Johnson County Community College had four players selected for  East Division honors.  Sophomore forward  Tio Krizogono, freshman midfielder Darrion Gordon, sophomore midfielder Gail Logan and sophomore defender Alexa Pittman all were first-team selections. 

Krizogono played in and started 10 games. She tallied 13 points with five goals and three assists. She was third on the team in both points and assists, and tied for second in goals scored. She fired 25 shots, 20 on goal for a shot-on-goal percentage of .800. Krizogono tied for team lead with two game winning goals, and had one game winning assist. She got her first game winner in the season opener, finding the back of the net in 57th minute to give JCCC a 3-2 win over Hutchinson (4-2-21). She netted the first goal in the 21st minute in a 4-2 win over Coffeyville in the second game of the season (4-5-21). Krizogono netted two goals, including the game winner, and had an assist in a 9-0 win over Garden City (5-1-21), and provided the game winning assist in a 4-0 win at Neosho County (5-12-21). 

Gordon played in and started 13 games. She led the team in goals scored with eight and points with 19, and tied for third in assists with three. Her 19 points ranked 10th in the conference, and her eight goals tied for 10th. She produced one game winning goal and one game winning assist Gordon had a penalty kick goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss at Barton (4-17-21). She netted three goals, including the game winner, in a 7-2 win over Dodge City (4-24-21), and notched her second hat trick scoring the third, fourth and sixth goals in a 9-0 win over Garden City (5-1-21).

Voted team MVP, Logan played in and started 13 games. She tallied 15 points with five goals and five assists. She tied for second on the team in goals scored, and led the team in assists. Her 15 points were second highest on the squad, and tied for 15th in the conference, and her five assists tied for ninth in the conference. Logan tied for the team lead with two game winning goals and led the team with two game winning assists. Logan played a part in three of JCCC's four scores in 4-2 victory over Coffeyville (4-5-21), assisting on the first two goals and tallied the game winning goal in the 65th minute. She was credited with an assist in the 43rd minute and then scored  in the 47th minute in a 7-2 win over Dodge City (4-24-21.  Her assist led to the game winning goal. Logan provided the assist on JCCC's first two scores, and fired a shot past the keeper for the team's fifth goal in a 9-0 win over Garden City (5-1-21), and she found the back of the net in the 45th minute for to give Johnson County a 1-0 victory over Butler (5-15-21). 

Pittman played in and started 13 games. She was part of JCCC's defensive pool that allowed only 24 goals, a goals against average of 1.29 with four shutouts. Pittman also helped out on the offensive with two goals scored. She tallied JCCC's first goal of the 2021 season, firing a shot into the net in the 22nd minute to tie the score in an eventual 3-2 win over Hutchinson in the season opener (4-2-21). In the second game, she scored the team's second goal in a 4-2 win over Coffeyville (4-5-21).
