JCCC women’s soccer coaches honored as National Staff of the Year
January 06, 2025After leading the Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team to a second straight NJCAA Division II runner-up national finish, head coach Jim Schwab, his staff of assistant coaches Alex Hagan and Madison Hagen, along with trainer Sarah Plowman and volunteer assistant Abigail Logan were named the 2024 NJCAA D-II National Coaching Staff of the Year by United Soccer Coaches. -
JCCC lands three on United Soccer Coaches Women’s D-II All-America Team
December 20, 2024The Unites Soccer Coaches recently announced its All-America Teams for the 2024 and Johnson County Community College had three players selected to the Women’s Division II Team.

JCCC’s Wallace named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year
December 20, 2024Johnson County Community College sophomore Maya Wallace was named the United Soccer Coaches NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year on Tuesday. She is the first women’s soccer player in in JCCC and Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference history to earn the honor.

JCCC women’s soccer named North Plains Region Staff of the Year by United Soccer Coaches
December 20, 2024– United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday their 2024 Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year recipients for community college Division II women’s soccer, and the Johnson County Community College women’s soccer staff was named the North Plains Region Staff of the Year.

Two JCCC women’s soccer players represented on NJCAA D-II All-Tournament Team
December 09, 2024The Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team had two players represented on the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National All-Tournament Team after helping the Lady Cavaliers to a national runner-up finish. JCCC lost 2-0 in the National Championship Match to top-seeded Northwest Mississippi Community College.

All eight were named to the first-team. Additionally, Emily Crosby was selected the Defensive Player of the Year for the conference and Jim Schwab was named the KJCCC D-II Coach of the Year.

September 30, 2024The No. 3-ranked Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team extended its consecutive shutout record to nine straight matches with by blanking Highland Community College 7-0 Sunday afternoon. The last goal given up by the Lady Cavaliers was at 77:33 in the second half of 2-2 tie at Phoenix College on August 22, a span of 822 minutes, 27 seconds.

Offense rolls while defense sets new consecutive shutout mark
September 26, 2024On a night that the Johnson County women’s soccer team netted 18 goals, the star of the match would most likely be one of the offensive players, but it would be the defense that would steal the show. The Lady Cavaliers set a new team record by holding an opponent scoreless for eight straight matches, breaking the old mark of seven set in the team’s inaugural campaign in 1999.

The shutout streak is just one shy of the program record of seven set in the team’s inaugural season in 1999.
