OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Johnson County Community College sophomore Maddox Fergus has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance in second week of the 2024 season.
Fergus stopped all five shots she faces in a 3-0 shutout over Iowa Lakes Community College on Friday evening at the JCCC Soccer Complex. It was her first shutout of the season and eighth of her career.
With the shutout victory, Fergus improved to 1-0-1 on the season and lowered her goals against average to 1.60.
Last season, Fegus was named All-Region 6 first-team and All-KJCCC D-II second-team after posting a 10-2-0 record and helping JCCC to a national runner-up finish.
