Crosby and Fergus helped lead a defensive unit that led all NJCAA Division II programs with 19 shutouts, including 15 consecutively, and a goals against average of 0.41. JCCC's defense also only allowed 10 goals over 24 matches, second-fewest nationally.
Crosby, who earlier this year earned NJCAA D-II first-team All-American, also came forward to score one goal on the year.
This season, Fergus finished the season 9-1-1 with seven shutouts, a goals against average of 0.68 and a save percentage of .847. She only allowed nine goals on the year. Fergus ranked second in the conference and 11th in NJCAA D-II in goals against average. At the national tournament, Fergus was named to the All-Tournament Team after allowing just three goals in the three matches she started, posting a 1-1-1 record. She tallied 15 total saves which rank as the second most recorded in national tournament play by a JCCC goalkeeper, but her most noteworthy saves came during the 12-round shootout in the national semifinal victory over Heartland.
Facing a possible loss, Fergus saved the shot she faced in the fifth round to keep JCCC's chances alive. She also forced a miss in the 10th round. The Lady Cavaliers went on to win the shootout in 12 rounds.
