OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore guard JaQuaylon Mays, this week's KJCCC D-II Player of the week, poured in a game-high 20 points to power the fifth-ranked Cavaliers to an 84-66 home victory over Southeast Community College Tuesday night.  

Mays was 6-of-8 from the field, with a 3-pointer, and 7-of-8 from the free throw line. He also contributed nine rebounds, six assists and five steals. 

Starters Lukas Milner and Kylan Thomas finished with 13 points and 12 points respectively.  Milner also had seven boards and three blocks, and Thomas pulled down six rebounds 

Freshman Dale Talley III and sophomore Isiah Sears came in off the beach to chip in 13 and 11 points. 

Johnson County shot 60 percent as a team while improving to 16-2 on the season. 

The Cavaliers host Ottawa University JV on Thursday, January 16, then travel to Trenton, Mo., to face No. 1-ranked North Central Missouri College to close out their non-conference portion of their schedule.
