JCCC hands Neosho County its second worst loss in series history, 90-48

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Sophomore All-America guard Tymer Jackson recorded a game-high 25 points to lead the Johnson County men's basketball team to an impressive 90-48 blowout win over Neosho County on Saturday afternoon. The 42-point margin is the second largest in the series with the Panthers. 

Johnson County improved to 22-7 overall and 10-3 in conference play and are tied with Allen for first place in a winner-take-all showdown against the Red Devils in Iola, Kan., in the final game of the regular season on Wednesday, March 1. 

Jackson's 25-point effort upped his career total to 1,058 points, moving him into eighth on JCCC's all-time scoring chart.  He hit 11-of-16 shots with two 3-pointers and a free throw. He also had five rebounds and five assists.

Sophomore forward Ryan Gordon followed with 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting with a trey and 5-of-7 at the line. Gordon also grabbed seven boards, and registered a team-high four steals. 

Sophomore guard Seth Chargois, the program's all-time leader in games played, provided 12 points off the bench. He was 4-of-6 overall, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, and hit his lone free throw attempts. He also contributed three rebounds and three steals. 

Freshman forward Kyler Mann led the team with 11 rebounds to go along with eight points, and sophomore forward Xavier Kahube contributed nine points and three steals.
