OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore forward Kayla Brashear has been selected as an All-Region VI performer for the 2019 season, earning second-team recognition.
Brashear, who was also was a two-time All-Kansas Jayhawk Conference selection, led the team in 2019 with 34 points and goals scored with 15. She also had four assists. She led the KJCCC and ranked tied for sixth in the NJCAA with seven game-winning goals. She also ranked ninth in the conference in points and fifth in goals scored. Twice during the season, she was selected the KJCCC Player of the Week. Brashear closes out her career ranked 21st all-time in points with 61, and 15th all-time in career goals with 26. She is also tied for third all-time with 10 game-winning scores.
