    Seven members from the Johnson County Community College men’s soccer team were among those selected to the All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference teams. Four players were named to the first-team, and three earned second-team honors. Additionally, JCCC head coach Fatai Ayoade was named co-coach of the year with Cowley coach Ray Vaz.

    The Johnson County Community College men’s soccer team moved a step closer to qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament. The Cavaliers defeated Neosho County Community College 2-1 on Friday, Nov. 1, and move on to the Plains District Tournament at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kan., Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Two players who were key in those victories for freshman forward Ramon Bravo and sophomore goalkeeper Pedro Ivaskoski, and the conference recognized their efforts by awarding them the player and goalkeeper of the week for week 5.
