Shannon Riley was a part of two national tournament teams at JCCC ... Helped the Lady Cavaliers to a third-place national finish in 2018 fall and to a natioal championship in the 2021 spring  … Closed out her career with 512 kills and an attack percentage of .175 … Also registered 216 digs and 55 blocks.

Sophomore Year 2020-21

Played in 29 matches and 90 sets … Selected to the NJCAA D-II National All-Tournament Team … Ranked fourth on the team in kills with 241 and kills-per-set at 2.25 … Also had 128 digs and a digs-per-set average of 1.20 … Had 10+ kills in eight matches with a season-high of 19 in a 3-2 win over Kirkwood in the quarterfinals at NJCAA D-II Tournamet (4-13-21) … Began the tournament with 13 kills in a 3-2 win over Pima (4-13-21) … Finished the tournament with 51 kills and a hitting percentage of .314 … Had 14 kills in a 3-1 win over Allen (2-20-21) … Had two matches with 10+ digs and two double-doubles … Had her first double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over Labette (3-11-21) … Also had a career-high five blocks … Got her second with 10 kills and 11 digs in a 3-1 win over Coffeyville (3-25-21)  … Earned NJCAA All-Academic third-team with a grade point average between 3.60 and 3.79.

Freshman Year 2018-19

Played in 38 matches and 130 sets while helping JCCC to a District Championship and a third-place finish at the 2018 NJCAA D-II National Tournament … Finished fourth on the team with 271 kills and a kills-per set average of 2.08 … Also had 88 digs, 35 blocks and six assists … Reached double figures in kills in 11 matches … Opened the season with nine kills and a .439 attack percentage in a 3-0 sweep over Baker JV (8-24-18) … Reached double figures for the first time with 11 kills in a 3-0 win over No.7 Central (8-25-18) … Recorded 10 kills and hit a season-best .615 in a 3-0 win over McHenry County (9-7-18) … Had five kills along with five digs in a 3-1 win over No. 18 Des Moines Area (9-29-18) … Registered a season-high 15 kills in a d3-2 win over North Dakota SCS (10-6-18) … Followed with 11 kills in a 3-1 win over No. 12 Kirkwood (10-6-18) … Had eight kills and six digs in a 3-1 win at Hesston (10-9-18) … Had back-to-back 11-kill matches in a 3-2 loss to No. 16 Colby (10-12-18) and a 3-0 win over Iowa Lakes (10-13-18) … Tallied 13 kills and a season-high seven digs in a 3-0 win over Allen (10-19-18) … Helped JCCC to a District M Championship finishing with 12 kills and a .259 kill percentage in the title win over Kansas City Kansas (11-3-18) … Had three matches in double figures in kills at the NJCAA D-II National Tournament, and finished with a total of 34 kills and 15 digs … Opened the tournament with 11 kills in a 3-1 win over Oakland (11-15-18) … Followed with 10 kills and six digs in a 3-1 win over No. 12 Lincoln Land (11-15-18) … Capped the tournament with 10 kills and four digs in a 3-2 win over No. 7 Kirkwood to give JCCC a third-place finish (11-17-18).

Was a three-year starter for coach Tracy Plagemann at Collinsville High School, Collinsville, Ill. … Graduated 2018 … Recorded 131 kills, 147 digs, 56 assists, 28 blocks and 22 aces her senior year … Also played three years of club volleyball for H2 STL Illini West for coach Andres Irizarry, and one for Blue Steel … Served as a writer for her school’s newspaper and was a member of the student council.
