OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – On the court this season the Johnson County Community College women's basketball team is off to a 14-1 start and currently ranked fifth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)  national rankings.

"This group has really paid attention to detail and just being consistent every day," said two-time National Coach of the Year Ben Conrad. "They have really embraced the daily work required to be elite both on and off the floor."

The Lady Cavaliers open the second half of the season on Wednesday, January 8 across town against Metropolitan Community College. They return home on Thursday, January 9 to host Bethany College JV at 6 p.m.
