Klinge posts career effort to lead JCCC to a road win at Southeast

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore guard Jazzy Klinge established new career highs for points and rebounds while leading the second ranked Lady Cavaliers to a 75-54 road victory at Southeast on Sunday afternoon. Klinge drained 10 of 12 shots and hit 4-of-5 free throws to finish with 24 points. She also grabbed 17 rebounds, two more than her previous best effort. 

Three other players also finished in double figures scoring. Sophomore guard Saige Grampsas tallied 14 points and sophomore forward Grace Lynch and freshman forward Amani Henry each finished with 10 points. 

Freshman guard Taliyah Scott nearly recorded a double-double finishing with nine points and 11 boards. She also dished out a game high six assists.

Carney Black led Southeast with 18 points, followed by Matalyn Campbell with 14.

Johnson County (16-0) opens conference play Saturday when they host Highland  (12-4) at 2 p.m.
