OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College sophomore forward Nakayla (KK) Jackson-Morris has been selected honorable mention All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for the 2019-20 season. 

The WBCA Junior/Community Colleges Coaches All-America Team includes players from all three NJCAA divisions. Jackson-Morris was one of 28 players to be honored, 10 as first-team selections and 18 on the honorable mention team.  She is the 14th player in team history to earn WBCA All-American. 

Jackson-Morris, who earned second-team All-Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference earlier this year, was the team's second leading scorer, pouring in on average 12.6 per game, which also ranked fifth in the conference. She ranked fifth in the conference with 56 made 3-point baskets and while shooting 43.8 percent beyond the arch, best in the conference.  Jackson-Morris also averaged 3.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and shot 77.3 percent at the charity stripe. She has scored in double figures 19 times, including a 26-point effort in the Lady Cavaliers win over Highland in the Region VI semifinals March 3, which matches her career high. 

As a freshman, Jackson-Morris earned third-team All-KJCCC D-II honors after leading the team in points (447) and scoring average (14.), was second in rebounds (180), rebound average (5.6) and made 3-point baskets (51). She ranked fifth in the conference in both total points and scoring average, and sixth in made 3-pointers. She reached double digits in scoring 24 times, topping 20 or more eight times. 

For her career, Jackson-Morris tallied 863 points, averaging 13.3 points over her 65 career games played. Her 863 total points rank 12th all-time at Johnson County. She also drained 107 career 3-point baskets, which rank 13th all-time.  She also made 41.6 percent of her 3-point attempts, which is the fifth-best percentage in program history.
