OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – University of Sioux Falls women's basketball coach Travis Traphagen announced that he has added Johnson County Community College sophomore Dallile Hoskinson to his 2020 recruiting class. 

Hoskinson, a 5-6 guard from Hugoton, Kan., earned All-Kansas Jayhawk Division II third-team honors after averaging 9.9 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while starting 32 games for the Lady Cavaliers that finished 28-5 and ranked No. 7 in the NJCAA.


Dallie (Hoskinson) is a talented combo guard who had a great senior season at JCCC," said Traphagen in a release issued by his school. "She had three triple doubles and averaged eight rebounds a game as combo guard. Dallie is hard-nosed and is a really talented player and a winner. As we continue to build our team after losing seven seniors, she is a big addition."

Hoskinson hit 50.2 percent from the field on 120-of-239 shooting while knocking in 75.8 percent from the foul line (69-of-91) in 2019-20. She led the team and ranked third in the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference in rebound average was second in the conference in total rebounds with 271. She also led the league in assist average and total assists with 168, 86 more than the next closest player. Her assist total ranks eighth all-time at JCCC for a season.

In 2019-20, Hoskinson reached double figures in points 20 times, rebounds 12 times and assists in four games.  She also had 10 double-doubles and three triple doubles. Hoskinson was named the Jayhawk Community College Conference and National Junior College Athletics Association Player of the Week on Nov. 25-Dec. 1, after her third triple double of the season. In two seasons at JCCC, she totaled 425 points, 367 rebounds, 222 assists and 95 steals while leading the team to a 55-10 record.

Hoskinson, the daughter of Jeff and Deleta Hoskinson, was a standout guard at Hugoton (Kan.) High School. A four-year starter, she earned honorable mention Class 4A-II All-State as a freshman and Class 3A honorable mention All-State as a junior. Despite missing her senior season due to injury, she was a four-time All-Great West Activities Conference selection.

At Hugoton High, she led her team to two state titles, including the Kansas Class 4A-II State title in 2015 with a 22-2 record. In that freshman season (2015), she averaged 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds while dishing 84 assists and recording 100 steals. After helping Hugoton High to a 23-2 mark and third place state finish in 2016 (10.6 ppg and 9.0 rpg with 129 assists and 131 steals), she was a key contributor (13.4 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 110 assists and 116 steals) on a 23-2 team in 2017 that won the Class 3A state title.

In 2015, she was selected to the all-tournament team at the state tourney after scoring 38 points with 20 rebounds, 11 assists and 10 steals. At Hugoton HS, she was a three-sport standout with four letters in track and field and two letters in volleyball. Also, she was a member of the National Honor Society.
