OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 9-ranked Johnson County Community College women's basketball team snapped its two-game skid with a 77-48 win over Fort Scott Community College, Wednesday night. 

Leading by a slim two points at the half, Johnson County outscored the Greyhounds 48-to-21 in the second half to improve to 23-3 on the season. 

Freshman forward KK Jackson-Morris led all scorers with 19 points. She also registered six rebounds and four assists. 

Freshman guard Brandi Thibeaux had her best performance of her freshman season, pouring in 13 points. She was 4-of-5 from the field and 5-of-6 at the free throw line. Her previous season high was 10 points in win over Bethel JV, Nov. 8. 

Other key efforts were turned in by freshman forward Julia Johnson (9 points, 9 rebounds), freshman guard Jess Myers (12 rebounds, 3 assists), sophomore guard Paige Elston (9 points) and sophomore guard Jacionna Stowers (7 points). 

Johnson County has three games remaining in the regular season. They host No. 16-ranked Labette Community College Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. They follow with games at Hesson College Feb. 20 and at No. 4-ranked Kansas City Kansas Community College Feb. 23.
