JCCC improves to 14-1 with a 37-point win over Peru State JV

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No.2-ranked Johnson County women's basketball team closed out the first half of the campaign with an 87-50 blowout over Peru State College JV Sunday evening, and improved to 14-1 overall. 

The Lady Cavaliers shot over 60 percent in the first and third quarters, and finished hitting 52 percent for the game. 

Sophomore guard Dallie Hoskinson again flirted at registering third fourth triple-double of the season posting 17 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists. She was 6-of-7 shooting with two 3-pointers and 3-of-4 at the line.

Sophomore guard Krystal Rice also poured in 17 points, hitting 6-of-11 shots, and 5-of-10 from behind the arc. 

Sophomore guard Christen Curry posted a double-double of 11 points and a career high 10 assists, and freshman forward Le'Yanna McGinnis added 10 points and six boards. 

Adreal Bell and Julie Miller led Peru State JV, each finishing with nine points. 

Johnson County will be off until Wednesday, January 8 when they travel across town for match up with Metropolitan Community College. They return home to host Bethany College JV on Thursday, January 9 at 6 p.m.
