OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 4-ranked Johnson County Community College women's basketball team improved to 17-1 on the season with a 100-44 blowout victory over Southeast Community College, Tuesday night.  Every JCCC player scored in the game, six finishing in double digits. 

Jaylen Townsend led the Lady Cavaliers with 19 points.  The freshman guard from Edwardsville, Ill, was 6-for-11 from the field, with four 4-pointers, and 3-of-4 at the free throw line. 

Sophomore guard Dallie Hoskinson, this week's KJCCC D-II Player of the Week, followed with 13 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Also in double figures scoring were KK Jackson-Morris and Amber Kettering with 12 points each, and LaJahda Boyland and Krystal Rice with 11 each. 

Johnson County shot 59 percent as a team and outrebounded the Storm 37-to-13. 

The Lady Cavaliers host Missouri Valley College JV on Thursday night before opening conference play at Highland Community College on Wednesday, January 22.
