JCCC extends home court win streak to 66 with 58-41 win over KCKCCC

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – After spotting Kansas City Kansas a five point first quarter lead, the No. 1-ranked Johnson County women's basketball team outscored the Blue Devils 31-14 over the next two periods and pull out a 58-41 victory and extend their home court win streak 66 straight games. 

Freshman guard Maizen Williams led three JCCC players in double figures with a career high 19 points. She hit 8-of-13 shots, including three 3-point baskets. Her previous best effort was 16 points in back-to-back wins over Hesston and Neohso County. 

Also finishing in double digits were freshman guard Taliyah Scott with 12 and sophomore guard Saige Grampsas with 10. 

Sophomore guard Jazzy Klinge and freshman forward Amani Henry were the team's top rebounders each with eight. Henry also contributed eight points. 

Jada Johnson led KCKCC with 15 points and seven boards. 

Johnson County (25-0, 8-0) will now host Allen Community College (18-4, 6-2) on Wednesday, February 14 at 6 p.m.
