OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced their 2018-19 basketball all-conference teams recently, and four members of the Johnson County Community College women's basketball team were recognized.  Sophomore guards Paige Elston and Jaci Stowers were second-team selections, and freshman forward KK Jackson-Morris earned third-team honors.

These three players helped the Cavaliers to a 27-5 record and a top-10 ranking in all 12 D-II polls, including the first seven weeks of the regular season at No. 1.

Elston has shown over her two seasons to be a very skilled points guard that has a knack for scoring the ball. This season she averaged 11.1 points per game, third-best on the team, along with 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She led the team with 50 steals and was third in 64 assists. Her 50 steals tied for fifth in the conference, and her 64 assists ranked 10th

She also made 33 4-point baskets, and shot 76 percent from the free throw line during the season, and upped that to 84 percent in conference play. Elston scored in double fibures 16 times and topped 20 or more points twice.

She closes out her career with 664 points, which ties for 34th all-time at JCCC, and she reached double figures 39 times.

Stowers leaves ranked among the greatest long-range shooters to play at Johnson County. She made 188 career 3-point baskets, finishing one shy of the all-time mark set last year by Kylie Williams. She also finished with 795 points, which ties her for 21st on the all-time chart at JCCC. She scored in double figures 43 times, and she topped 20 or more 13 times.

This season, Stowers averaged 13.5 points, second-best on the team, along with 2.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists. She led the conference and ranked second in the NJCAA with 93 made 3-point baskets. That total ranks sixth on JCCC's season chart. She scored double figures 25 times and topped 20 or more six times, including a career high 24 in an 82-74 over No. 10-ranked North Iowa Area.

Jackson-Morris put together a solid freshman campaign. She led the team in total points (447) and scoring average (14.), was second in total rebounds (180), rebound average (5.6) and made 3-point field goals (51).  Her 447 points and 14.0 per game average ranked fifth in the conference, and her 51 treys were the sixth-most made. Jackson-Morris scored in double figures 24 times, and topped 20 or more points eight times. She also reached double digits in rebounds five times that resulted in five double-doubles.
