OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman forward LaJahda Boyland averaged a double-double of 12.5 points and 15.5 rebounds while leading the No. 2-ranked Lady Cavaliers to a pair of victories last week. That effort earned her the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for week 3.

Boyland opened the week with 13 points and 11 rebounds in 18 minutes of action in a 111-4 win over Missouri Valley JV. She capped the week with 12 points and 20 rebounds in a 76-64 over St. Louis Community College. Her 20 rebounds tie the 15th-best game in team history. For the season, Boyland is averaging a double-double of 10.6 points and 12.6 rebounds.
