Three Lady Cavaliers named all-conference

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County sophomore guard Krystal Rice, sophomore forward KK Jackson-Morris and sophomore guard Dallie Hoskinson were among 15 student-athletes were honored as All-Kansas Jayhawk Division II Conference performers for the 2019-20 season. The KJCCC announced its all-conference teams yesterday, and Rice was a first-team selection. Jackson-Morris was named to the second-team, and Hoskinson earned third-team honors. 

Rice, who transferred to Johnson County after playing her freshman year at Indiana State, leads the team and ranks fourth in the conference in scoring with a 14.5 per game average. She has also drained 83 3-point baskets, which ranks 12th on JCCC's season chart, and second overall in the conference. Rice has reached double figures in points in a team-high 22 games, including a career-high 29 points in a win at Hesston late in the regular season. Twice this season, Rice was selected at the KJCCC-D-II Player of the Week, earning the honors in weeks 13 and 15. 

Jackson-Morris, an all-conference third-team pick as a freshman, is the team's second leading scorer, pouring in on average 12.6 per game. She has made 54 3-point baskets and is shooting 43 percent beyond the arch, second-best in the conference.  Jackson-Morris also is averaging 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists. She has scored in double figures 18 times, including a 26-point effort in the Lady Cavaliers win over Highland in the Region VI semifinals Tuesday night, which matches her career high. 

Hoskinson has put together a tremendous sophomore campaign. She averaged 10.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists. She ranks second in second the conference with 266 total rebounds and third in rebound average, and she leads the conference in both total assists (168) and game average assists. Hoskinson has scored in double figures 20 times this season, and topped double digits in rebounds 12 and assists four. She has produced a team-best 10 double-double, along with a school record three triple-doubles. She is the only player to have multiple triple-doubles in a season or for a career.
