LaJahda Boyland (La-JAY-da) came to JCCC from a winning program at North Kansas City, finishing 96-17 over her four varsity seasons … A very selfless player … Was one of the team’s top defenders ... Played in 33 games, four as a starter … Averaged 7.7 points and a team-best 7.7 rebounds … Shot 49 percent from the field (101-for-206), which ranked ninth in the Kansas Jayhawk D-II Conference … Ranked fourth in the conference in rebound average at 7.7 per game, and third in total rebounds with 255 … Scored in double figures 12 times, had double digit rebounds 10 games and had five double-doubles … Posted her first double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds in a 95-51 win over Southwestern in the season opener (11-1-19) … Notched her second double-double with 16 points and 10 boards in an 89-69 win over Evangel JV (11-7-19) … Was the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference D-II Player of the Week for week three ...
