OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College guard Mackenzie Hart was selected as the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for week three.

The sophomore out of Olathe West helped her team improve to 9-0 on the season after averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in pair of victories. She also shot 50 percent from the field.

Hart opened the week by leading the Lady Cavaliers to a 68-51 road victory over Southeast. She scored a game-high 18 points to go along with five assists and two rebounds.

Hart followed with a line of 15 points, four rebounds and three assists in an 86-42 home win over Ottawa JV. She was 6-of-10 from the field with three 3-point baskets. 

For the season, Hart is averaging 11.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Her 3.9 assists per game average ranks second in the conference.
