Maizen Williams is a dynamic wing who has a very high ceiling ... Had a breakout freshman year and really became a key player the second half of the season.

Sophomore year 2024-25

Helped Johnson County to an undefeated regular season (30-0), an overall record of 34-1 tying the best mark in program history, a conference title and win the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Championship … Played in 33 games, 22 as a starter … Averaged 5.7 points and 2.3 rebounds … Upped her scoring average to 6.1 in conference play … Scored in double figures in eight games and topped 10+ rebounds once … Opened the season with a line of 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in a 112-11 blowout over St. Louis (11-1-24) … Poured in 14 points in a 100-42 victory over Iowa Lakes (11-8-24) … Scored 11 points to help JCCC to a 67-55 victor over No. 9 Palm Beach State (11-15-24) … Followed with 11 points and seven boards in a 69-58 win over No. 19 Rock Valley (11-16-24) … Pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds in a 109-27 win over Missouri Valley JV (12-5-24) … Was the only starter in double figures with 11 points in a 71-51 victor over No. 16 North Central Missouri (1-9-25) … Followed with eight points and three rebounds in a 99-66 win over No. 20 Neosho County (1-11-25) … Had nine points, four steals and a season-high four blocks in a 97-15 win over Labette (1-25-25) … Followed with 10 points in a 78-32 victory at Fort Scott (1-29-25) … Made 7-of-16 shots with a 3-pointer for a season-high 15 points in an 84-41 win over Ottawa JV (2-17-25) … Tallied 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting in an 88-23 home win over Fort Scott (2-22-25) … Scored five points to help JCCC defeat No. 8 Pima 75-67 in the national championship game.

Freshman Year 2023-24

Played in 35 games, 18 as a starter … Averaged 8.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and was second on the team with 18 blocked shots … Made 44.0 percent of her field goals attempts … Upped those numbers in conference play to 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 45.6 percent shooting … Was the team’s second leading scorer in conference play … Scored in double figures in 12 games, fifth-most on the team, and had one game with 10+ rebounds … Was the team’s top scorer in six times, once in rebounds and assists and four times in steals … Reached double digits in scoring for the first time in the second game of the season, finishing with 12 points in a 104-45 win over William Penn JV (11-5-23) … Had a string of four straight games in double figures beginning with 10 in an 82-27 win over MidAmerica Nazarene JV (11-20-23) … Followed with 11 points in a 73-38 victory over Des Moines Area (11-26-23), 15 and five boards in a 76-57 win over North Central Missouri (11-27-23) and 14 points and five rebounds in a 77-45 win at Southwestern (11-29-23) … Recorded a double-double of 13 points and a season-high 11 rebounds to help JCCC open conference play with a 68-48 win over Highland (1-13-24) … Tallied 13 points and six boards in a 95-50 win at Labette (1-27-24) … Started a string of seven straight games in double digits with back-to-back 16 point efforts in victories over Hesston (1-31-23) and at Neosho County (2-3-24) … Poured in 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting that included a season-high three treys in a 58-41 win over Kansas City Kansas (2-14-24) … Capped the string with a season-high 20 points, making 9-of-14 shot attempts with a 3-pointer and free throw in a 72-44 win at Hesston (2-24-24) … Had nine points, six rebounds and three assists in a 101-53 victory over Neosho County in the final regular season game (2-28-24) … Put together a strong national tournament averaging 6.0 points 1.3 rebounds and shot 78.7 percent from the field (11-for-14) at the national tournament … Her shooting percentage ranks best mark by a JCCC player in tournament play … Was 2-for-3 for four points in a 55-43 win over North Central Missouri in the tournament’s opening round (3-19-24) … Hit 4-for-5 shots with a 3-pointer for nine points in a 63-46 win over Lincoln Land (3-21-24) … Had seven points on 3-of-4 shooting with a 3-pointer in a 59-54 win over CCBC Essex in the national semifinals (3-22-24) … Made 1-of-2 shots for four points in the national championship game (3-23-24). 

High School
