OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference announced its Women's Basketball Players of the Week for week 14 and Johnson County Community College Taliyah Scott was named as the Division II winner.

Scott played a key role last week leading her team to a pair of comeback victories over two nationally ranked teams as the Cavaliers defeated number eight Highland on the road before earning an overtime win over number 11 Allen at home. Scott averaged 10.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 2.0 steals for the week as Johnson County clinched at least a share of the KJCCC regular season title.

On Monday night, Scott dished out 11 assists running the offense and added seven rebounds and five points to help JCCC to an 84-41 victory over Ottawa University JV.

Scott now has 186 assists on the season which leads the conference by 84 assists, and rank second in the NJCAA. For her career, she has 362 assists, third most all-time and she just 36 shy of the all-time record of 398 set by Jacky Smith in 2005-07.
